Hot Stones
The properties of the basalt stones retain the heat wonderfully and they glide effortlessly over aching muscles and sooth away tension and stress. To make sure that you have the right equipment to suit you we have put together some ideas that hopefully will help you make your choice when shopping for equipment.
There are several options depending on how you are going to operate as a therapist. If you have a room or work in a salon then a small hot stone water heater will be enough for you.
You may also be interested to use cold stones and a cool bag is also avaiable .
Digital heaters can be obtained on Amazon and I recommend Ellisons and Vulsinin as suppliers.
Cold Marble stones can be bought separately to help with strained muscles. Use the hot and then the cold stones to create a wonderful relaxing effect on tired and damaged muscles. These marble stones can be bought separately for about £20.00.

The 6 litre water heater has a thermometer for precision temperature control and has a 6 hour safety cut off. This makes sure that the element does not “smoke out”.

Wax is great to use for Reflexology as it is not as slippery as oil. I recommend Songbird and it comes in many wonderful variations. Contains various essential oils and allergy may be a consideration before using it.
